A wise preacher I know said "transparency is a mark of spiritual maturity." I think that solitude is so important. I am going on my first silent retreat in October and very much looking forward to it. When I first started my Christian journey six years ago, I never would have thought that I would actually look forward to solitude and could spend time with God, not speaking to anyone and just listening with and to Him. It amazes me how God has matured me as I keep my focus on Him. Yes, even the beep of the watch can become a part of our daily tapestry. Though it helps break up the constant self dialogue. Now it God would just remind me to replace the watch batteries, I'd really be good to go! (just kidding) Going thru an especially hard time at work right now - I believe God is reminding me to keep my focus on Him and praise Him always. God bless.
